i have come to the final phase of the repair work. all parts are painted and ready for shipping.;-)




the eyelashes are implanted, instead of the graphic application. however, i still keep them as an anime version as possible. they do come out quite well. i might try this technique more in the future.:-)

volks kanu

kanu is always one of my favorite character. i truly like the volks 1/4 series and will like to collect all of them. in the coming 2009, they are releasing the legendary warrior-kanu, one of the best sculp i have seen so far. she portrays the elegant look of a warrior, but yet sexy and feminine. she will be my wishlist for 2009.:-)

this prepainted figure is slotted in coz she's need to be completed before christmas as a gift. the initial plan is to get her repainted due to the some faults and broken parts, but as i examined the parts, she comes up with more assembling problem.

judging from the broken parts, they are not the common resin material, but a much lower grade and they are brittle, a slight unnatural bend will cause it to split into 2.:-(




i have skipped most of the repairing steps due to time constrained. this image shows the assembled hair. i have a hard time figuring which parts to fit in. nevertheless, with reference from the completed image from whf, i can roughly get them done. the hair is able to hold its position with the used of 0.3mm wire.

misato,hikari,beldandy,setsuna-update 1

while mcon and bakuc are over, i have started working on four new figures. initially, i would like to finish the ikkitohsen figures, but decided to put on hold first coz i need to finish these for my friends first.:-)

this misato is a recast from pvc. the parts break down is good, but there're gap in between the join. the base is a nightmare too coz it warps. think i have to use heat to mold it back to original position. i started on the hair as i need it before i can proceed with the rest of the parts.


hikaris' parts join quite well except one of the leg that need putty to fill up the gap. in this image, i have already patch up the gap.


beldandy is never an easy figure to work with. even a sd version gives me lot of troubleshoot.i manage to pin them together, but only part by part. i need to work on the hair first as it's the main troublesome area.:-(


this is an original resin figure of setsuna. the parts is rather clean except the seamline. the arms are the only area that does not join well, but can be fixed easily. a simple and nice pose.;-)
